Product Information
TETRA-ETCH fluorocarbon etchant is a non-pyrophoric chemical solution for treating the surface of fluorocarbons to make them markable, bondable and pottable. A sodium compound in the solution reacts with highly fluorinated polymers to form a reactive film on the polymer surface. Nearly any adhesive can be used on this treated surface.
The active sodium in TETRA-ETCH etchant reacts with the surface molecules of a halogenated polymer to form a carbonaceous film of free radicals. These radicals react with 02 and H2O and each other to form a layer of chemically active groups attached to the surface. These then react with adhesives and potting compounds to form a true chemical bond.

Trade Counter is open weekdays from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, located at the front of our distribution centre.
Same-Day Collection available for orders placed before 3:00 pm.
Orders not collected within 7 working days will incur a 25% restocking fee. For international orders, this period is extended to 14 working days.

Door to Door
The freight zone is based upon the Fedex International Priority zones, used to calculate the shipping rate according to the destination country. Goods will be delivered at place as defined by INCOTERMS 2020.
FCA
Additional packing costs may apply if goods are to be shipped by Air Freight. They will be handed to the chosen carrier with the required paperwork according to the free carrier terms as set out in INCOTERMS 2020. Please note that you agree to pay the applicable carrier charges by agreeing to this delivery option.
