    In April 2019, CHT UK Manchester Limited acquired all the assets and liabilities of ACC Silicones Ltd, rebranding as CHT UK Bridgwater Ltd. CHT manufactures silicone in many forms, including RTV silicone adhesive, silicone sealant, silicone moulding rubbers, gels and fluids.

    For over 40 years, CHT Silicones have supplied specialist silicones for a wide range of applications including automotive, electronics, aerospace, conformal coating, thermal transfer, construction and much more. The Silcoset brand is well respected and approved by many aerospace companies. CHT Silicones has a proven record of long term performance in demanding applications.

    Silmid are authorised CHT distributors. The vast majority of our CHT products have no MOQ and are available to buy in single units.

    Content Highlight: Silcoset

    The Silcoset trade name is well respected within the aerospace industry as a high-performance range of silicone materials, including adhesive sealants and potting compounds. Major OEMs have approved these materials for use within their products and Silicoset has a proven record of reliability over many decades. Silcoset one-part adhesive sealants are based on acetoxy chemistry and offer an RTV cure. These products were specifically developed to meet the most demanding, high specification applications within the aerospace and military sectors. Silcoset two-part RTV silicone encapsulants will cure at room temperature and are used to protect electronic components from moisture, chemicals and vibration.

    Featured Product - CHT Silcoset 158

    Silcoset 158 is a one component, RTV (Room Temperature Vulcanising) silicone adhesive sealant. It is one in a range of acetoxy cure products which are solvent-free. During cure, it liberates a very small amount of acetic acid, giving rise to the familiar ‘vinegar’ odour which quickly dissipates after cure.

    It exhibits good primerless adhesion to many substrates and cures rapidly at room temperature when in contact with atmospheric moisture. This product is not to be recommended for use with copper and its associated alloys or in electronic assemblies.
