It is a two-part, nickel-filled, condensation-cured silicone compound. The uncured material is a low sag, thixotropic paste, easily applied via an extrusion gun or spatula. The product cures quickly at room temperature before forming a resilient sealant providing excellent adhesion to various aircraft-related substrates. The product is also fully compatible with polysulfide sealants.
After curing, the sealant can provide excellent electrical conductivity and shielding from EMI/RFI's, and is an effective barrier against corrosion with aluminium alloys or between dissimilar metals.
